Abstract

The presented variant of informing the population about dangers related to combat actions, in the form of an interactive map of Ukraine, is aimed at creating an inexpensive, vandal-resistant and visually clear autonomous information system. The informer is intended for placement in shelters, situational rooms, other premises and transportation. The map is 3D-printed and divided into separate cells in the form of regions. The system consists of a ESP32 microcontroller board, addressable LEDs illuminating areas on the map, and an audiosubsystem that notifies about the beginning, type of alarm (air, artillery, chemical, radiation, streetfighting), and its end. Each area on the map has backlighting with its own addressable LED, the color of LEDs, and sound signals varying depending on the types of danger. After the alarm ends, the corresponding LED lights up green for minute and then turns off. Data for processing are obtained via Wi-Fi using the API of the ALERTS.IN.UA website. The system is powered by a power supply 5V/2.5A, but the possibility of using emergency power sources (power banks, solar panels, etc.) is provided. One of the directions for improving the system could be obtaining information through GSM.
