World trends in military equipment creation and development

Abstract

The article analyzes the order and trends in the creation and development of military equipment in the modern period.  An overview of the general trends of the military sphere in the world was carried out in accordance with the military branches: weapons and military equipment, land forces, naval forces, air forces, space forces, military communications, etc. The practices of the most modern and engineering-advanced armies of the world in response to military digitalization and, in particular, the digitalization of the military-technical environment were analyzed: the USA (projects "AI and autonomous weapons", "Cyber ​​war", "Information warfare", "Development, testing and implementation of the use of weapons", EU (The European Defense Research Policy, The European Defense Industrial Strategy).   Adaptable to the events in Ukraine and the unprovoked full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022, the need to introduce military technology trends focused on digital transformation in Ukraine is conceptualized. These include, in particular, raising cyber security standards, the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), countering manifestations of hybrid wars (cyber attacks, disinformation, hybrid and terrorist threats, etc.) and the use of advanced technologies in the process of creating and developing military equipment ( AR) and virtual (VR) realities.   The place of the military-defense complex in the formation of modern military policy and military-technical equipment is determined.
